George's knowledge spans more than 20 years in the automotive industry. He operates a mechanical workshop called G.V. Automotive which specializes in Mechanical Repairs & Servicing to all makes & models with a department dedicated to restoration work to various types of classic sedans & sports cars, he also specializes in manufacturing the A.C. Cobra replica known as the Python now for over 2 decades. George has a vast knowledge on anything classic, with his constant travel to the States it has allowed him to create a large network of contacts which then in turn is passed onto his clients. "I love doing shows & swap meets both here & in the States." George drives is 53 F100 rat rod , His 1st Python Cobra , which we all call the dianosaur 1991 Chev Pick up which hauls his Race car around, His 1971 Harley, & his little buzz box Daihatsu handy van which he loves. George loves ALL food, going to the movies, Maggie & L.A.
He has also been the principle force behind Python Racing, campaigning two Pythons for the past 10 years in the Victorian State Racing Championship, achieving a championship win in 1998 and 3rd place in 2001.
George has restored and built numerous cars and bikes over the years, he has also been involved in the Film, Television and Advertising Industries where he supplies vehicles and bikes for productions such as Neighbours and Stingers. A lot of bikes have also been supplied for numerous ads and promotional advertising over the years.
George's infectious personality is only obvious when you meet the man personally. He is very generous and has been a campaigner for the Challenge cancer support network, assisting kids and their families that are dealing with cancer for almost 2 decades by supplying bikes and cars for numerous functions that Challenge holds.
George Vidovic
The Motorcycle shop was started at the premise of G.V. Automotive in 2006. George saw that the area needed a repair shop and an RWC station for motorcycles. Today the repair shop specializes in V-TWINS that is not to say they don’t work on metric or English bikes. ‘It’s all welcome here” George says. George has been building motorcycles and customizing bikes now since the early 90's. With the introduction of Python Choppers now to the South Melbourne area, we can service, maintain, repair, do tyres, rwc restoration and engineer’s reports to all bikes.
Python Vehicles Australia was established in 1979, with George’s passion for A.C. Cobra replicas he has been able to design and construct many Cobras for various clients. George cobras are known and have been sold internationally. Various stages are supplied in kit form and numerous parts can be purchased from there extensive spare parts showroom which is at 385 City Road South Melbourne. Turnkey cars are sold that are handmade & specially designed to suit your requirements.
Maggie Kolev Vidovic
Maggie has love old cars and American sports car for a long time, thanks to her Dad, he gave her the knowledge even though he only owned Holdens and Fords. Maggie met George (but we won't go there) and 20 odd years later Maggie works at G.V. Automotive with George. Maggie has a career in Film & Televisoin as a Hairdresser and Make–up artist that spans 25 years ,which she still dabbles in “Mags runs the business” George says She also "runs the race team”, she coordinates all the admin for all the business. Maggie drives a 56 T-bird and also likes to Zoom around in the Daihatsu Handy Van. She pillions on the Harleys and gets around in the Dianosaur and the pick ups. "What's his is mine & whats mine is his".. Maggie says. Maggie loves to go to the movies, dinner, drink red wine, travel and George.
Lorenzo 'Loz' Spadafona
The newest member of the Team at Python Choppers is Lorenzo 'Loz' Spadafona.
Loz is a real Grease monkey with 11 years of experience under his belt.
He's as comfortable working on a high tech new model Audi as he is getting down
and dirty with a custom Hot Rod or a mean street machine. He loves to cruise
the streets and it shows in his XE 351 Cleveland 500+hp Streetcar.
A true Gearhead, he loves ANYTHING motorized, lounging with the boyz,
and going to the dragz. He says that he can't help it, it's in his blood.
